Carla Jardim is Medical Director and board certified family practice physician at Hunterdon Family Medicine at Delaware Valley . Dr. Jardim is also a staff member of the Family Residency Program and Cancer Liaison Physician at Hunterdon Medical Center. She is currently a clinical instructor in Family Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Dr. Jardim holds a degree from Douglass College of Rutgers University and obtained her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Medical School. She completed her internship and residency at Jefferson Family Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Jardim has a special interest in nutrition, women’s health, work-family balance and cancer prevention. She has given numerous presentations on nutrition and balancing work and family. She is the Hunterdon County Cancer Liaison. Dr Jardim has published articles on cardiovascular disease in women and work-family balance, and evaluating and managing breast cancer risk.
Dr. Jardim is married with three grown daughters and enjoys creative writing and yoga.
Susan Bauman, MD is currently a faculty member at Hunterdon Medical Center Family Practice Residency Program, clinical professor of Family Medicine at UMDNJ-RWJ and medical director of Hunterdon Hospice.
She received her undergraduate education at Lafayette College, her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and her post graduate training in family medicine from Hunterdon Medical Center, Flemington, NJ. Board certified in family medicine, geriatrics, and palliative medicine, she has a certificate in bioethics from Columbia University. Licensed in NJ and PA, she is past chair of the Biomedical Ethics Committee of the Medical Society of NJ and currently chairs the ethics committee of her hospital where she coordinates the ethics and palliative care curriculum for the residency.
In January, 2007 she became the founding director of the Palliative Care Service for Hunterdon Medical Center. In November, 2007 she was named Hospice physician of the year for the state of New Jersey by the New Jersey Hospice and Palliative Care Organization.
Dr. Bryhn is a Family Medicine doctor for Delaware Valley Family Health Center in Milford, NJ and is affiliated with Hunterdon Medical Center. She received her medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and has been in practice for 20 years.
Jeremy C. Hewens is the Assistant Director of Hunterdon Family Medicine at Delaware Valley. Dr. Hewens is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and received his medical degree from the Case Western Reserve School of Medicine. He is board certified in family medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice, the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine and the Board of Planned Parenthood of Greater Northern New Jersey.
Dr. Hewens has a strong interest in outpatient pediatric and obstetrical training and has presented workshops and lectures on Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics. He is the author of many patient education materials in both pediatric and adult medicine.
Dr. Hewens is married with two grown children and grandchildren. He enjoys traveling in his recreational vehicle, wood working, backpacking and model railroading in his free time.
Debra Wohl Curry is on the active staff of Hunterdon Medical Center as well as a faculty member of the Hunterdon Family Medical Family Practice Residency Program.
She is board certified in family medicine, a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, and a Fellow of the American Society of Colposcopists and Cervical Pathologists. In addition, she is a member of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, the New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians, and is a clinical instructor at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Curry is a graduate of Cornell University and received her medical degree from the State University of New York Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY. She completed her residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center in Syracuse, NY.
Dr. Curry has presented a workshop on abnormal uterine bleeding and endometrial biopsy, and lectures on diabetes management and health maintenance for diabetic patients, She has experience and interest in outpatient gynecology and adolescent health care. She is certified in advanced life support neonatal resuscitation.
Dr. Curry is married and has two children.
Patricia Kroth is the Program Director of the Hunterdon Family Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Kroth previously served as Associate Program Director of the Hunterdon Family Medicine Residency Program. Dr Kroth is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Osteopathic Family Physicians; and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. She was awarded the Hunterdon Medical Center Residency Faculty Teacher of the year Award in 2010. Dr. Kroth’s special interests are women’s health and medical education.
Robert L. Murry is a board certified family physician on the faculty of the Hunterdon Medical Center Family Practice Residency Program.
Dr. Murry holds degrees from Rice University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston College (where he achieved his doctorate), and University of Texas Southwestern Medical College (where he earned his medical degree). He completed his residency training at Hunterdon Medical Center.
At Hunterdon Medical Center, Dr. Murry is a member of the Pharmacy and Therapeutic Committee and the Electronic Medical Record Committee. He is currently the lead physician in the implementation of Electronic Medical Records to 27 practices in Hunterdon County.
Dr, Murry is married with three children and in his spare time, enjoys camping, skiing and volleyball.
Laurie Turenne-Kolpan is board certified in family medicine.
She graduated from Bucknell University and received her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She completed her family practice residency at Hunterdon Medical Center.
Dr. Turenne-Kolpan has published works on pediatric urinary tract infections and managing an abnormal Pap smear. She is certified in basic and advanced life support, advanced life support in obstetrics, neonatal resuscitation and pediatric advanced life support. Dr. Turenne-Kolpan is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Board of Family Practice, the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine and the Uniformed Services Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Turenne-Kopan is married with two children and enjoys reading, cooking, and traveling.
Julianne M. Lucco is board-certified family practice physician at Hunterdon Family Medicine at Delaware Valley and Hunterdon Medical Center. She is also a Core Faculty Physician for the Residency Program at Hunterdon Medical Center.
She has extensive experience in medical research and procedures. During college, Dr. Lucco actively participated in programs to educate and counsel women on family planning, contraception, sexually transmitted diseases and other women’s health issues. After college, she spent a year researching the efficiency of drug abuse prevention. Since then, she has been involved with Hunterdon Medical Center and is now a faculty physician in the Family Residency Program. Dr. Lucco is also a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine.
William J. Kayal is a board certified family practice physician at Hunterdon Family Medicine at Delaware Valley and Hunterdon Medical Center. He is also a Core Faculty Physician for the Residency Program at Hunterdon Medical Center.
Doctor Kayal graduated from UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 2007 and completed his Family Medicine Residency from New York Presbyterian Hospital- Columbia, in 2010, where he was Chief Resident. He is a member of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM), American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and the American Medical Center (AMA). Dr. Kayal has special interests in obstetrics, inpatient medicine, and medical education.
Dr. Kayal is married and enjoys running, biking and chasing after his children.
Dr. Lecusay received his medical degree from the State University of New York Health Science Center at Syracuse College of Medicine. He is a graduate of the Family Practice Residency Program at Hunterdon Medical Center. While a resident, Dr. Lecusay received the Hunterdon Medical Center Resident Excellence in Teaching Award in 2000 and the New Jersey Family Practice Resident of the Year award in 2001. Dr. Lecusay is board certified in family practice medicine.
Dr. Ballard is a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, who is certified in Women's Health as well as Obstetrics and Gynecology. A graduate of Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions Doctor ofNursing Practice, she also holds a Masters in Nursing from Drexel University, where she was elected to Sigma Theta Tau International.
A member of the American Academy ofNurse Practitioners, Nurse Practitioners in Women's Health and Pennsylvania Coalition ofNurse Practitioners, Dr. Ballard serves as a faculty member of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia as well as clinically precepts Nurse Practitioners from local Universities.
Dr. Ballard is married to her High School Sweet heart, has two grown children and shares her home with a menagerie of four legged friends. She enjoys golf, bicycling and travel and is always happy to share stories with patients. Currently she sees patients at both the Delaware Valley and Phillips Barber Health Centers.
Jan Downs-Barrett is a licensed marriage and family therapist as well as a board certified art therapist. She completed her master's degree at Pratt Institute in creative arts therapy and as well as the post graduate training program at the Family Institute of Philadelphia. Jan has been teaching the behavioral science curriculum in the Family Medicine Residency Program for more than 19 years. In addition, maintains a private practice in Riegelsville, Pennsylvania. Jan has extensive experience in treating eating disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, relationship issues and family issues. Jan utilizes her extensive clinical expertise to effectively teach and assist family medicine residents in providing excellent patient care.
